The Government of Jamaica has mandated that the Factories Corporation of Jamaica Limited (FCJ) divests 15% of its non-performing assets to supplement the Government’s debt reduction strategy. FCJ has identified 58 properties for divestment. The combined total value of the properties identified for divestment in Schedules A and B is approximately $3.1B or about 33% of FCJ’s total property portfolio. Accordingly, the Corporation should be able to satisfy GOJ’s requirement for the disposal of 20% of its total property portfolio from the properties highlighted in green in Schedules A and B.
